Recap from 2017 SOA/CAA Executive Education Exchange Program

The Society of Actuaries (SOA) and the China Association of Actuaries (CAA) recently completed the second SOA/CAA Executive Education Exchange Program in Beijing, China.

This year’s program was jointly hosted by the SOA and the CAA and took place over seven days in Beijing and Shanghai. Actuaries and heads of actuarial departments from the U.S had the opportunity to learn, discuss and communicate about the industry with their Chinese counterparts, and lay ground work for further development and cooperation between the SOA and the CAA.

“As highly qualified specialists, actuaries are invaluable assets for enterprises and institutions,” said SOA President, Jeremy J. Brown, FSA, MAAA. “The program offers a rare opportunity to exchange views and knowledge for members of the SOA and the CAA and it is valuable for members from each association to share their experience solving business problems, and to discuss and think of business sense in different markets.”
